We work across North Devon

From Ilfracombe down to Great Torrington, and the villages in between. Same service everywhere, same people we know and trust, same prices.

If your parent's village is not listed, ask us. We usually can, and if we cannot we will tell you who does.

Barnstaple

Barnstaple is at the centre of the area we cover. In the older terraces off the town centre the same problems come up again and again: steep stairs and small bathrooms.

Grab rails, second stair rails, better lighting and level access showers are the jobs that make the biggest difference here.

Bideford

Bideford and the estuary villages, including the hill streets where the front door sits above the pavement and the steps are the first thing to sort out.

Outside handrails, lighting on the path and levelled thresholds come up here more than anywhere else.

Ilfracombe

Ilfracombe and the north coast. Tall houses, steep streets and a good deal of weather, which is hard on outside steps and handrails.

We specify rails that will still be solid in five winters, and we come back and check them.

South Molton

South Molton and the farms and cottages towards Exmoor. Out here the nearest help can be a long way off, which is why the check-in visits matter more.

We plan our rounds by area, so a visit out this way is easy to arrange.

Braunton

Braunton and the villages out towards the coast. A lot of bungalows here, which usually makes life easier, though the bathroom is still the room that needs attention first.

Level access showers and rails by the back door are our common jobs in this area.

Great Torrington

Great Torrington and the villages to the south. Older cottages with low doorways, uneven floors and steps in odd places, so the plan here is usually about small changes in a lot of rooms.

We are careful with old houses. Nothing gets drilled into where it should not.
